Talking Kaspa with DannFox
An inside look at a creator shaping the conversation around Kaspa
In a recent interview with DannFox, he revealed how a quiet tip drew him into Kaspa in a way that stood out from the rest of crypto. What began as curiosity and late-night reading quickly became conviction. His focus is now on the community, and moments that only those following closely get to see. There is much more to discover, including travel, milestones, and surprises that you will have to read the newsletter to uncover.
What’s your Kaspa origin story — how did you first stumble into it?
“I didn’t start in crypto. I was a stock guy. In 2021, I began testing the crypto waters.
One night (mid-2023), I met a friend for a drink. We were talking life, investments, and what makes something worth backing. He mentioned Kaspa. Not with hype. Just a calm, “You should look at this.” That stuck with me.
I went home and read. Then read more. The ideas clicked.
It felt honest. No fluff. No magic promises.
At our next meetup, he helped me make my first buy on the exchange that had Kaspa then. Small steps. Felt like opening a door.
By mid-2023, I knew how I wanted to play it: Buy, hold, repeat. I wanted to build a position and let time work. I never sold.
That’s my start with Kaspa.
The investment began with tech. Then I realized Kaspa’s other strong point: the Community. From January 2025, my X account moved to Kaspa only content.”

Outside of Kaspa, what’s something you could talk about for hours?
“Travel. I love meeting new people and learning new cultures. I enjoy simple moments: street food, small talks, and local habits. I like sharing stories from the road, good trips, funny moments, and what each place taught me. I also love planning the next journey. I make lists, map routes, and ask locals what to visit. I can talk for hours about past experiences and future plans.”

What’s been your favorite moment in the Kaspa community so far?
“My favorite moment was Crescendo. The whole community was glued to the countdown, waiting for the jump to 10 blocks per second on May 5, 2025. Devs were active, shipping the hard fork, and sharing updates as nodes and miners upgraded ahead of activation. When it went live, you could feel the shift, 10 BPS on mainnet, faster blocks, and a real sense of “we did it” across the chats and spaces. It was a proud day for anyone invested in Kaspa and its vision.”

What’s your current setup for creating content? (Laptop? Phone? Full spaceship control room?)
“I keep it simple and flexible. I use my phone when I’m outside home or abroad, my laptop when I’m on the couch or in the garden, and my workstation when I need deep focus. My favorite setup is my workspace, with a panoramic curved screen, my laptop, good speakers for music, an ergonomic vertical mouse, and a solid keyboard. It keeps me in the zone without distractions.”

If you could instantly master any skill (crypto or not), what would it be?
“Crypto mining. I’m curious about it and I want to learn, mainly for Kaspa. The community is deep into mining, and that pushes me more. I feel ready to jump in. I know I can learn the setup, the hardware, and the tuning. But I’ve held back for one reason: costs. Power bills add up. And right now, I prefer to put most of my budget into Kaspa itself. So if I could master one skill fast, it would be mining.”
What’s a small thing that never fails to make you happy
“Kaspa wise: seeing the community show up. Active, present, and backing each other. We can joke, and we can get serious. The balance feels right.
Outside Kaspa: My dog, food and travel plans. A new city on the map, a chat with a stranger, a street food spot - Instant mood lift”

Final things you wan't to add?
“1. Gratitude - Thank you to the Kaspa devs and the community for the daily work and support.
2. Clear stance - I’m here long-term.
3. Community focus - I came for the tech, but also the community kept me here
4. Open invite: If you’re building in Kaspa or you just have the Kaspa conviction, my DMs are open. Let’s work together or just chat.
5. Keep it real: No promises. Just steady work, patience, and respect for proof-of-work values.
6. Call to action: Run a node if you can. Help a newcomer. Share clear info. Small actions matter”
